Even thought is is Halloween, don’t be scared! This is just an initial post for the site. Nothing exotic or noteworthy mind you, it is simply the first of many future posts.
On what you ask?
Well, on Formula One (F1). See, I’ve been a fan since 1984 back when Champions like Lauda, Rosberg, Prost, Senna, Piquet, and Mansell were doing battle. My initial exposure was via grainy TV images on ESPN at odd hours. At first, I would catch races live (sporadically) but later I was able to record them on our VCR and watch them later.
Yes, I am dating myself but that’s ok.
Over the years I watched more, read more, and eventually saw more (via the Internet) regarding the sport. That’s how I deepened both my understanding of F1 and appreciation for it. It’s a fascinating sport and spectacle that has many layers to appreciate.
So here I am, a humble middle-aged IT professional who digs fast cars driving around race tracks. My hope is that those of you who find this site will enjoy it and gain something by reading it. I’ll do my best to keep things interesting and informative in future posts. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy this journey with me.
